Identify a specimen

Which lineage does this repository belong to?

Paste any public GitHub repository. The identifier reads the code at one commit and checks it against the nine design lineages in the paper. Belonging to none is a common answer: the paper’s lineage records place only 52 of the 139 registry repositories in a lineage.

How far to trust a determination

We ran the identifier on all 139 registry repositories, at the commits the curators read, and compared its answers with two label sets: the lineage records the paper counts, and the lineages the repositories' own pages claim. Lineage anchors are left out, because the identifier is told their names.

The registry

139 canonical public repositories frozen on 10 June 2026. Each one was read at a pinned commit and coded on seven design axes. Lineage is shown only where the paper assigns one.

Six candidate regularities

Each regularity was stated with a trigger that would count against it, then checked against 25 repositories added after the freeze. The stamp is the paper's current status. Absence of a trigger is bounded support, not proof.

Paper–repository map

212 relatedness edges link 64 of 101 papers to 23 registry repositories. Curators assigned these links; they are not citations. A full-text check of seven papers found the credited repository mentioned for 3 of the 29 edges they carry.

Each bar is one repository; its length counts papers linked to it. The six longest carry 120 of the 212 edges (56.6%).
